Why can’t my Bluetooth headset connect to ps4?

Sony has announced that PlayStation 4 doesn’t support A2DP, A2DP is an audio profile, which stands for Advance Audio Distribution Profile. However, A2DP has a delay of about 00-300 MS during audio transmission. This can affect the game experience,  so Sony only specifies that some headphones can be connected to the PS4.

Way 1: Pair Supported Headset to PS4 directly

If the PS4 supports your Bluetooth headset, congratulations, you can easily connect to it.

If you’re not sure whether PS4 supports your Bluetooth headset, you can also check it by following these steps

1) Turn on your Bluetooth headset in pair mode

2) Go to PS4 Settings Page > Devices Section > Bluetooth Devices Section.

 

3) When your Bluetooth Devices are displayed in the List, select it.

Way2: Pair Unsupported Headset to PS4 by Audio Cable

In most cases, we may not be able to connect successfully in the first way. But don’t worry. We still have another plan. First of all, you need to make sure that your Bluetooth headset can connects to other devices via an audio cable, which is included with most Bluetooth headsets.

1) Connect your Bluetooth Headset and the PS4 controller with audio cable,  and turn on your headset.

2) Go to PS4 Settings Page > Devices Section > Bluetooth Devices Section.

3) When your Bluetooth Devices are displayed in the List, select it.

4) Back to Devices Section and select Audio Devices Section.

5) Select Output Devive and then select Headset Connected to Controller.

6) Set your Volume By Volume Control menu.

7) Click Output to Headphones under the Volume Control, then select All Audio.

Way3: Pair Unsupported Headset to PS4 by USB adapter

I think it’s a very simple way. You just need a USB adapter. I use this USB adapter, of course, you can select what you like. if you have one, you can follow these setps

1) Turn on your Bluetooth headset in pair mode.

2) Insert the USB adapter to the PS4 slot.

3) Go to PS4 Settings Page >  Devices Section > Audio Devices Section.

4) Select USB Heaset in Output Device.

5) Adjust the volume you need in the Volume Control

6) Select All Audio in Output to Headphones.
